Being in the moment is like being a child again, filled with wonder and excitement.  It is noticing everything that is happening in your world, as if for the first time, being childlike not childish.

Notice the birds playing in the trees, the butterfly flying around near you, the ladybird walking on a small blade of grass, the ants that seem in a such a hurry, the spider building its web, the shapes of the clouds in the sky, the distant sound of the cars, children playing nearby, the taste of chocolate on the tongue,  so much is happening every moment.

Have you ever been doing something when out of the blue a thought comes into your mind to give someone you know a ring, then you find out they were thinking of you, or that they need some help?  Have you ever been driving when you have a sense there might be a radar up ahead and you take you foot off the pedal, only to see a police around the corner checking everyone’s speed.  By being in the moment you pick up so much more about what is happening around you.

Have you ever been for a drive  and realise you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t notice the street you should have turned into a few kilometres back, or you missed the exit, or forgot to do something that was really important???

Not being in the moment, is like being asleep or at best groggy, missing all the whispers that guide us on our journey.

Every moment is special.
